Global education

reaching a young audience

In today's communication society, global education is increasingly becoming more important as new technologies are shortening the distances between people. More than ever, pupils need to learn about the world around them and understand how we are globally connected.

Mapping Worlds develops learning resources that provide different perspectives on world affairs and help pupils understand the complexity of ethnicity, social class and geography. SHOW® - A New Way to Look at the World is a Mapping Worlds initiative to provide efficient and comprehensive access to statistical data on world issues. The interface makes data truly accessible by making it easy to find, easy to use, and easy to understand. Our platform acts as a filter of information, extracting the most valuable content and bringing it to life in innovative graphics.

From registered football players to world oil reserves, SHOW® covers a wide spectrum of subjects supported by the most authoritative data sources in their field. Our unique combination of fun, innovative graphics and reliable data make SHOW® an ideal reference site in and out of the classroom.

SHOW® is available in WORLD and USA editions.

The Dutch Millennium Development Goals Atlas for Education is an example of a rich interface specially designed for high school education. It offers a comprehensive picture of the MDGs. Students can browse the application and activate dynamic cartograms to learn about the progress countries are making. Navigation paths are kept simple to allow teachers and students to focus entirely on a given set of subjects and countries.
